National Student Esports (NSE), the official body of university esports in the UK, Intel, and tournament organiser ESL have announced that its FutureGen programme will be returning in 2021.
The initiative, which launched in 2019, aims to cultivate new esports talent from UK universities.
Like previous years of the programme, a total of ten students will be selected to participate alongside the students selected for the 2020 programme, which was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jon Tilbury, Managing Director of NSE, commented on Intel’s continued involvement and the value of the FutureGen programme: “After the success of last year’s programme, we are thrilled that Intel continues to partner with NSE on FutureGen.
