Halo is back, but not as you may remember it. Developer Halo Studios, formerly 343 Industries, which took over development of the series in 2007, has announced a remake of the first Halo game from 2001, called Campaign Evolved. Built on Unreal Engine 5, every mission has been rebuilt from scratch, and it also features a series of levels set before the game’s events.
The initial reception has been mixed so far, with fans questioning why the first game needs to be remade when a remaster came out in 2011, called Halo: Anniversary. Nevertheless, one big surprise is that Campaign Evolved is also coming to PlayStation 5, a first for the series.
