Destiny: Rising has been experiencing some highs and lows since its August launch. Developed by NetEase Games, the free-to-play gacha game debuted to a huge player base of roughly 100,000 players. Set in an alternate timeline to Destiny 2, players can choose from 13 Lightbearers, some free, some chargeable, and take on various missions.
However, as of November 2025, Destiny: Rising is hovering around 20,000 players, and it looks like NetEase wants to stop the bleeding fast by announcing a six-month roadmap for the game. At the time of writing, this has already begun with Season 2’s “Reunion Day Celebration”.
