Electronic Arts (EA) has revealed in a community update that it is rolling out armour changes to Battlefield 6’s REDSEC battle royale.
The main takeaway is that weapon damage modifiers at certain ranges will be tweaked, making long-range gunfights more consistent and certain weapons less dominant at close range.
The post details two significant changes coming to how armour behaves and functions in the Battlefield RedSec battle royale mode.
All weapons, including primary and secondary guns, will have damage drop-off ranges extended by 10 meters against armour. Guns in the game have ‘steps’ that reduce damage as the range increases, and extending each step will allow weapons to become more effective at longer ranges.
