Bandai Namco Studios Singapore to become a Nintendo subsidiary

Nintendo has entered into a share transfer agreement with Bandai Namco Studios in an effort to strengthen the former’s ‘development structure’.

As a result, Bandai Namco Studios Singapore (BNSS) will join Nintendo as a subsidiary, continuing its work under the name Nintendo Studios Singapore.

According to Nintendo’s release, the gaming giant plans to acquire 80% of Bandai Namco Studios Singapore shares on April 1st, 2026, with the remaining shares to be acquired after a ‘certain period.’

Nintendo noted how BNSS was established as one of Bandai Namco’s overseas bases outside Japan, and highlighted how it was a studio with ‘strong expertise in creating in-game art assets’.
