Top 10 NBA Teams on Pinterest

Pinterest is no longer just a platform for wedding plans, outfits and recipes.

Throughout 2012, the network has evolved from a social bookmarking upstart into a hotbed for content creation, brand placement and and online traffic referrals. Businesses have since taken the plunge into the budding platform to seize the opportunity to expand the reach of their brands.

The sports industry is no exception.

Take the NBA. In addition to the new league page, 23 of the 30 teams have launched official Pinterest pages.

The visual nature of basketball allows for the easy creation and management of the basic layout of a team page. Most teams feature boards of action shots, team dancers, logos and merchandise. But the teams with a firm grasp on the network have made a real effort to engage and expand their fan base, and the standouts are easy to spot.

Below is our list of the top 10 teams using Pinterest. Did your team make the cut? Check out the Slideshare to find out!
