5. New Items in Your Sports Page

  • Tags

Some items at the beginning of your sports page may be labeled with special tags at the top of the article. We call this frictionless sharing, highlighting that someone in your network recently interacted with it and we don’t want you to miss it. These items populate automatically based on the activity of your network. Tags is a groundbreaking social experience that should change the way you consume sports media.

  • Suggestions

We want you to get the most out of Chat Sports, so from time to time we’ll refer you to a new team to follow or a Facebook friend to invite. These are based off of not just your preferences, but the actions of your network. Consider them helpful reminders to help you build your reputation.

  • Network Updates

When a friend has a major update, such as following a new team, voting in a poll, or following a new person, we don’t want you to miss out. These updates will appear right on your sports page. They shouldn’t be a distraction, and only a small number will appear at any given time. These are meant to be another way for you to stay on top of your network.

6. New Search

You can use the search bar located in the header to quickly find teams, users, or writers. If you type in just a partial name, a drop-down menu will appear, from which you can select the result you were searching for. Don’t see what you wanted? Just hit enter and you’ll be taken to a page showing all the Teams, Leagues, Users, and Writers that match your search. You can directly follow right from here, or continue to refine your search after seeing your results.

7. Teams Menu

While the Search helps you get to exactly what you want, sometimes you may just want to explore - use our Teams Menu for that. This drop-down lets you quickly browse all the teams we currently offer, and go straight to a team page. You can also discover other sports we cover, or find other useful links to information about our site.

8. New Settings

We want to help you personalize your experience by letting you customize how often you receive alerts, choose what alerts you receive, and tell us the best way to communicate with you.
