In stiflingly hot conditions Thursday, the U.S. Women’s National Team arrived in Kansas City — first for a practice, where the pre-session sprinklers made the weather a bit more bearable. Next on the agenda is the team’s final tune-up match before next month’s Olympics, a friendly against Costa Rica at 8 p.m. Friday at Children’s Mercy Park.
Sitting at13-0-1 this year, the USWNT will try to hold on to its unbeaten record before heading down south.
