Sporting KC goalkeeper Tim Melia made three saves in the club's 2-1 road win over the San Jose Earthquakes and two of those saves have been nominated for MLS of the Week.
The first nominee came only seconds into the game as Jordan Stewart whipped a cross to Sporting KC’s penalty spot. Melia dove off his line and punched the ball to the top of the 18-yard box and then quickly recovered to parry away Chris Wondolowski’s effort.
His second nominee also came seconds after a kickoff and was also against Wondolowski. Just twenty seconds into the second half, Quintero broke free down the right flank for the home side.
