Week 15 of the 2016 Major League Soccer season was a particularly pleasant one for Sporting Kansas City.
In addition to knocking off FC Dallas 2-0 on Sunday at Children's Mercy Park, a handful of other Western Conference sides dropped points against their Eastern Conference counterparts. By the end of the weekend, Sporting Kansas City had vaulted from eighth to fourth in the West.
Midfielder Benny Feilhaber and right back Saad Abdul-Salaam led the way Sunday, landing spots on the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week. Feilhaber played a part in both goals, assisting the opener on a set piece delivery to Lawrence Olum and scoring the second from the penalty spot.
