The Swope Park Rangers will encounter a coaching change in their second season.
Marc Dos Santos, the coach for the first-year United Soccer League franchise owned by Sporting Kansas City, announced Wednesday he will depart his post to take the same job with the San Francisco Deltas. San Francisco is an expansion team that will join the National American Soccer League next season.
Dos Santos will complete the inaugural 2016 season with the Rangers before making the transition. He was targeted by Sporting KC coach Peter Vermes last year to be the first coach in the Rangers’ history.
