Three days after being inducted as the 10th member of the Sporting Legends hall of honor, former Kansas City Wizards forward Josh Wolff was unveiled as the first coach of MLS expansion club Austin FC.
The 42-year-old Wolff is currently an assistant coach for the United States Men's National Team, having previously held the same position at Columbus Crew SC from 2014-2018. He will remain on the U.S. MNT staff through the end of the year.
Austin FC will join Major League Soccer in 2021 as the league's 27th franchise, following the debuts of Inter Miami and Nashville SC in 2020.
