Sporting KC's Daniel Salloi becomes first Homegrown Player in MLS history to score twice in a playoff game

The 2018 season has been one to remember for Sporting Kansas City forward Daniel Salloi.

After showing glimpses of excellence in 2017, the 22-year-old Homegrown forward and Sporting KC Academy product has taken off this year with a team-best 15 goals in all competitions.

Salloi, who bagged four goals during Sporting KC’s three-game winning streak to end the regular season, took his red-hot form into the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs with a scintillating performance in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Real Salt Lake at Children’s Mercy Park.

The pulsating victory propels Sporting KC in the Western Conference Championship, where they will visit the Portland Timbers in leg one on Nov.
