Sporting Kansas City surged back into the Western Conference playoff picture Sunday with its victory against FC Dallas, a win that closed out the first half of its regular-season schedule.
A reinforcement will bolster the playoff push over the second half.
Sporting KC has agreed to terms with Honduran international player Ever Alvarado, a source told The Star on Wednesday.
Alvarado, 24, was present at Sporting KC practice Wednesday, but he won’t be eligible to officially join the roster until July 4, when the MLS summer transfer window opens.
Alvarado is a left back who most recently played for Club Deportivo Olimpia, regarded as one of the top clubs in Honduras.
