Over the last few years, the Sporting Kansas City Academy has made significant strides as one of the premier hotbeds for player development in the United States.
Bolstered by a tightly knit group of experienced coaches and support staff at the U-12 through U-19 levels, the Academy serves as the all-important first step along Sporting’s professional pathway, which continues upward with the Swope Park Rangers and culminates with the first team led by Manager Peter Vermes.
Founded in 2007, the Academy isn’t far removed from its infancy, but the program has already developed into a vital source of talent for Vermes and Sporting KC.
