With the news last week that backup center forward Erik Hurtado would be out for 2-3 months, the lack of depth at center forward for Sporting Kansas City became immediately apparent. Last week we looked at the CF options currently under contract with the first team. Now we’ll explore some potential short-term fixes that could be signed.
The first and most obvious place to look is at SKC’s USL Championship team. The Rangers have a plethora of options, though it’s unclear how realistic any of them are.
The starting CF for the first two games of the season has been 19-year-old SKC Academy product, Wilson Harris.
