Four teams of local and national media members took part in Sporting Kansas City’s annual media game, played at halftime of Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Columbus Crew SC at Children’s Mercy Park.
At the South Stand goal, Team Leabo defeated Team Sinovic by a 3-1 scoreline. KCTV5’s Tom Martin gave Team Leabo the lead in the second round, before stoning FOX Sports 1 broadcaster Katie Witham on the next attempt.
Joshua Brisco from Sports Radio 810 WHB equalized for Team Sinovic in the third round, only for Team Leabo to regain the lead moments later when The Blue Testament’s Thad Bell converted.
