Sporting Kansas City’s depth on the front line just became a bit thinner.
Forward Cameron Porter broke his right fibula and suffered ligament damage in his right ankle as the result of a play during practice Tuesday. He was carried off the field.
He is scheduled for surgery next week.
Porter, 24, has played in just two matches with Sporting KC this season, including a start in an U.S. Open Cup match.
