Sporting KC calls up two Swope Park Rangers for CONCACAF Champions League match

As Sporting Kansas City opens CONCACAF Champions League group play Tuesday, it will have a couple of reinforcements on the roster.

The club signed Swope Park Rangers defender Amer Didic and winger Tyler Pasher to short-term loans for the match Tuesday against Central FC in Trinidad and Tobago. The duo represents the first Swope Park Rangers players to be called to join Sporting KC.

Swope Park is Sporting KC’s first-year USL program, a minor league affiliate, of sorts.

Sporting KC made the additions Sunday in an effort to keep its roster fresh as it plays five matches in a 15-day span.
