Sporting Kansas City announced they had exercised contract options and other moves in preparation for the 2017 season. Sporting KC exercised options on: Saad Abdul-Salaam, Benji Joya, Jimmy Medranda, Lawrence Olum and Seth Sinovic.
At the moment, the following players are out of contract: Nuno Andre Coelho, Chance Myers, Paulo Nagamura and Jacob Peterson. Sporting KC has announced they are extending offers to both Ellis and Kann and negotiations are in process.
Sporting KC veterans Myers, Nagamura and Peterson are eligible for MLS free agency. Players will become free agents after the MLS Expansion Draft on Dec.
