Sporting KC and The Victory Project showcase Childhood Cancer Awareness Month initiatives

Sporting Kansas City and The Victory Project, the club’s foundation established in 2013 to help children battling cancer, will celebrate Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with a series of community events in September leading up to the team’s highly anticipated Childhood Cancer Awareness Match on Sept. 30.

On Monday, The Victory Project hosted the third annual Sporting Invitational golf tournament at Loch Lloyd. The four-person scramble featured participants playing the 18-hole Tom Watson Signature Design course alongside Sporting Kansas City players and executives, in addition to numerous contests throughout the course. All funds from the day benefitted The Victory Project, which has now raised over $1.
