Three Sporting Kansas City Academy teams continued their winning ways in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy on Saturday as the U-19s, U-17s and U-15s defeated the Houston Dynamo in a clean sweep at Houston Sports Park.
U-19s cruise to 4-1 triumph
The Sporting KC U-19s (11-2-3, 36 points) kept pace at the top of the Frontier Division standings with an impressive 4-1 victory, but not before falling behind in the ninth minute. One day after signing an Academy contract with the Swope Park Rangers, Sean Karani ignited a rally by winning a penalty kick in the 18th minute that Kaveh Rad expertly buried.
