In January 2012, Dom Dwyer arrived in Kansas City ready to learn his professional fate. Fifteen names were announced at the Kansas City Convention Center before the MLS SuperDraft clock fell to Sporting KC. The club opted for Dwyer.
For each of the ensuing four-plus years, Dwyer has been a member of Sporting KC, interrupted only by a brief loan to Orlando.
But plenty of teams have called about his availability in the interim. And they continue to ask.
After Sporting KC coach Peter Vermes confirmed last week that his club turned down a multimillion-dollar transfer offer from Greek side Olympiakos, Dwyer addressed the proposal in a conversation with The Star.
