Revolution take down Sporting KC 3-1

Both the New England Revolution and Sporting Kansas City came into the match needing points. The Revolution were trying to climb into a playoff spot while Sporting KC was trying to stay in contention.

Former SKC forward Kei Kamara gave the home side a good start early in the first half when SKC’s backline failed to hold him offsides. Kamara received the ball and went in one-on-one with the keeper. Time Melia came out for the charging forward but Kamara was able to slide it past him near post to take the lead.

The Revolution had a great opportunity to double the lead in the 19th when Kamara slid the ball to Kelyn Rowe but Melia played the pass well and was able to stuff the shot attempt.
