The offseason for the Swope Park Rangers tends to be a bit quieter than for their big brothers at Sporting Kansas City. Their biggest news so far is that they picked up options for two players, re-signed another and declined options on 11 more.
That was, until Monday. Nipun Chopra is reporting that the Swope Park Rangers and their cross-state rivals, St. Louis FC, will move from the USL Championship Western Conference to the Eastern Conference.
This is big for two reasons. First, that means SPR will play a whole new set of teams in 2019 after spending their first three seasons in the West.
