Recap: Swope Park Rangers move into fourth with 3-1 victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC

The Swope Park Rangers sealed a comfortable 3-1 victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Wednesday night at ONEOK Field. Two goals from Kris Tyrpak, either side of a Dane Kelly strike and a Sammy Ochoa penalty for Tulsa, moved the Rangers into fourth in the USL Western Conference heading into Saturday’s regular-season finale against Seattle Sounders FC 2 at Swope Soccer Village.

The Rangers (13-10-6, 45 pts.) began on the front foot and took the lead with the first chance of note. After Christian Duke dispossessed Tulsa goalkeeper Jake Feener in the area, Sporting KC loanee Ever Alvarado clipped in a cross that Kris Tyrpak headed into the empty net to make the score 1-0 in the fifth minute.
