The Swope Park Rangers (9-7-4, 6th place) fell to Orange County SC (11-6-3, 3rd place) at Children’s Mercy Park on Wednesday night.
Sporting KC loanee Kharlton Belmar had a great run in the eighth minute that was broken up inside the box by a pair of Orange County defenders. Belmar then would have a beautiful cross in the 12th minute which Blackwood would get a touch on, but it would sail over the goal.
In the 13th minute, Darrin MacLeod would come out of the box and Orange County's Michael Seaton would put it past him to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead.
