Sporting Kansas City announced on Monday that veteran midfielder Paulo Nagamura will retire from professional soccer and assume a coaching position with USL side Swope Park Rangers. Nagamura is one of the most decorated players in club history having played a role in Sporting KC's 2012 and 2015 Open Cup titles and 2013 MLS Cup championship.
Following his retirement, Nagamura penned a letter to fans, friends and teammates that he posted on his Instagram account.
