Rangers defender Justin Bilyeu undergoes surgery to repair torn meniscus

Swope Park Rangers defender Justin Bilyeu has suffered a torn meniscus that will keep him sidelined for the next four months, the club has announced.

Bilyeu underwent surgery at the Kansas City Orthopedic Institute last Thursday, March 15 under the care of the team’s orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kirk McCullough.

The 24-year-old signed with the Rangers this offseason from fellow USL Western Conference outfit Rio Grande Valley FC. Bilyeu, a St. Louis native, has also spent time in MLS with the New York Red Bulls in the past after attending college at SIU Edwardsville.
