Sydney Manning and her family are huge Sporting Kansas City and Swope Park Rangers fans. They adopted Ranger four years ago, knowing they wanted to name her something soccer-related. When the old Sporting KC reserve team nicknamed the Swope Park Rangers by fans, the family thought that Ranger would be the perfect name for their new dog without noticeably being related to soccer.
Ranger and the family love SPR forward Mark Anthony Gonzalez, who scored his first professional goal over the weekend against T2, because he graduated from the University of Evansville where Sydney’s sister, Mackenzie, attends.
