Sporting Kansas City CEO and President Jake Reid joined 610 Sports Radio on Thursday, discussing a variety of exciting topics on the Jillian Carroll and Chris Uno Cero Show.
Reid shared his thoughts on the rapid and successful expansion of Major League Soccer, indicating that the league could swell to 30 or 32 teams over the next few years. He also gave an update on the field renovations occurring at Children’s Mercy Park and the new food and beverage options fans can look forward to ahead of the 2019 season.
The conversation then shifted gears into the upcoming Concacaf Gold Cup at Children’s Mercy Park, which Kansas City hopes to use as a springboard in its bid to be a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
