10 days ago Sporting Kansas City nearly gave us all heart attacks as it took a legendary penalty kick shootout performance by Tim Melia to push KC to the semi-finals. Minnesota United didn’t have nearly any trouble with their 3-0 thrashing of the Colorado Rapids.
Both of those games were November 22nd and inexplicably there is a 10 day gap between rounds (for these teams at least). Whoever advances will only get 3 days off until they face the winner of FC Dallas and the Seattle Sounders (who will get 4 days off) on December 6th.
