Kansas City Comets sign John Sosa

The Kansas City Comets have announced that defender John Sosa has returned. Sosa signed a three-year contract with the Comets.

Sosa broke into the league in the 2011-2012 season where he played in all 24 matches for the Comets. The University of Missouri-Kansas City graduate quickly became a regular on the backline and was soon relied upon to bring the ball up and control the offense as well.

The Comets were not happy to lose him last year but there was too much uncertainty with ownership and Sosa signed with the San Diego Sockers. The Comets did not give up on bringing him back though, “We are very happy to have Sosa back this year,” said Head Coach Kim Roentved via press release.
