Two SKC Academy players were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship on Thursday. Three players saw their teams advance to the second round, while two more players will begin their run to the College Cup on Sunday.
The Fordham Rams were the only team with SKC Academy players to be eliminated in the first round of the tournament following a 1-0 loss to Boston College. Defender Matthew Lewis played 82 minutes in the loss while Cole Stevenson started and played 68 minutes.
UNLV, Creighton and Coastal Carolina were the three teams with SKC Academy players to advance past the first round of the tournament.
