FCKC’s Jen Buczkowski Announces Retirement

When NWSL fans hear the name “Jen Buczkowski,” one word comes to mind: legend.

Jen Buczkoswki, midfielder for FC Kansas City, announced her retirement Friday. Her last game will be May 13th, when FC Kansas City host the Chicago Red Stars.

What make Buczkowski a legend? She is the only player to start in every regular season match in league history. In fact, she has played 6,181 minutes out of the possible 6,300 minutes of the NWSL action for FCKC. Buczkowski has been a fixture and a leader for FCKC, especially when USWNT players have been away.
