Depleted Comets gut out upset win over Sockers

The Kansas City Comets ended their four-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the San Diego Sockers on Friday evening.

Finally, the Comets were able to hold on to a lead and close the game out. KC was able to outlast a good defensive battle with the help of some big stops from Nicolau Neto. On the offensive end, KC was led with braces from Adam James and Nick McDonald.

The Comets were without eight players due to Covid protocols, but they did get Kevin Ellis, Ramone Palmer, Ignacio Flores, and Kyle McLagan back from injury.
