The Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) released the 2021 player salary data on Thursday for every player in MLS. It marks the first time since 2019 that player salaries were made available since the 2020 data was never released, probably due to the optics during a pandemic.
Of course, the Sporting Kansas City information was included in that (and can be seen over here if you missed it). It fills in a lot of gaps for big signings that, until now, we were unaware of their salaries. The biggest signings always get the most attention, so let’s start there.
