Comets unable to overcome slow start in St. Louis

The Kansas City Comets fell to the St. Louis Ambush in another close game by the score of 10-8.

The Comets went down 3-0 after early goals from Zach Reget, Felipe Silva, and Corey Adamson. Leo Gibson was able to fire a goal past the Ambush star keeper, Paulo Nascimento before Bryan Perez poked in the goal just before halftime to make it 3-2 at the intermission.

In the third quarter, the Ambush came out strong and stretched the lead to as much as four with goals from Lucas Almeida, Stefan St. Louis, and Justin Stinson to make the score 6-2 before Comets clawed their way back with Lucas Rodriguez’s 100th goal of his career and other goals from James Togbah and a laser from Robert Palmer to draw within a goal.
