An update on Sporting KC academy players in college.

National tournaments in college soccer are underway with a number of Sporting Kansas City academy players in action. Three of the academy players in the NCAA first division advanced to the round of 16 after a number of upsets. Zach Wright and UNC avoided the upset as the 3rd seeded Tar Heels topped UNC Wilmington 2-1 with Wright picking up an assist. Elsewhere, Matthew Lewis and Forham pulled off an upset of #11 seed Virginia while West White and Coastal Carolina topped #8 seed Clemson 3-1.

In the other divisions, Blake Levine and Baker advanced in the NAIA tournament with a 2-1 win over Grace (IN) with Levine scoring the winning goal for the Wildcats.
