The United States is out of the World Cup, but two former Sporting Kansas City players did advance in World Cup qualifying. Former Kansas City defender Ever Alvarado and midfielder Jorge Claros helped Honduras top Mexico 3-2 and advanced to the federation playoff against Australia in November. Claros had an assist on Honduras’ game winning goal that saw Honduras jump over the United States. Here is the rest of this week’s update.
