Of all the soccer teams all over the world, few end up winning a trophy each season, but this past week, six former Sporting Kansas City players won trophies with their club. This past week was the Copa Sudamericana final (CONMEBOL’s version of the Europa League) as well as the MLS Cup final. In South America, Ecudorian side Independiente del Valle defeated Argentine team, Colon 3-1. Independiente features former Sporting designated player, Claudio Bieler on their roster. Unfortunately Bieler is currently out injured and did not play a part in the final for Independiente. In Seattle, the Seattle Sounders won by the same scoreline over Toronto FC.
