Across State Lines: Surgery Ends Saari’s Season

The end of the 2020 USL Championship season came early for Kansas City native and Kansas City Comets player, Ray Saari as his club, the Oklahoma City Energy announced this past week that Saari would miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery. Saari has played in just three games for the Energy this year, playing a total of 87 minutes for the club.

Elsewhere, two former Sporting Kansas City players have joined clubs for the 2020-2021 league season in Europe. Nicolas Hasler as returned to FC Thun, who he’d joined after leaving Kansas City at the end of the 2019 season.
