The MLS is Back Tournament was barely even over before MLS was back again with the return of the regular season. Hours after Portland topped Orlando in the final of the tournament, the two teams who had backed out of the tournament due to COVID-19 running through both teams took the field against each other. FC Dallas and Nashville SC took the field twice over the last week in a pair of games to help them close the three game gap in league games the two teams have after they withdrew from the tournament. Of the three former Sporting Kansas City players on Nashville’s roster, only one, Jalil Anibaba dressed and played for Nashville in either of the two games.
