Across State Lines: Kizer Scores First Goal in Louisville’s History

The NWSL kicked of the Challenge Cup this past weekend and along with Kansas City’s return to the NWSL, Racing Louisville also kicked off their first game. For Racing, Kansas City native, CeCe Kizer scored the first goal in their club’s history as Louisville tied the Orlando Pride 2-2 in their opener in the competition. Kizer was selected with the fourth pick of the expansion draft and was the second KC native selected in the draft along with Addisyn Merrick.

In other news this week, former Sporting Kansas City defender, Saad Abdul-Salaam, is looking for a new club as he was waived by FC Cincinnati yesterday as the club signed Edgar Castillo.
