Twenty-five years before the Kansas City Wiz stepped foot onto the field at Arrowhead Stadium for the first time, KC lost its only previous professional outdoor soccer franchise. The 1969 NASL champion Kansas City Spurs played their final home game on Aug. 16, 1970 at Pembroke Stadium (51st & Ward Pkwy) and folded on Feb.
