The defensive line last season was easily the strongest part of the Golden Eagle defense that was led by Dylan Bradley.
Last season, Bradley led the team in tackles for loss with 15.5 and led the team in sacks with 8.5. Bradley also totaled 64 tackles, two forced fumbles, two blocked kicks and a fumble recovery.
Replacing a presence like Bradley, much less duplicating it, is no easy task. This year the defensive line will turn to senior Xavier Thigpen, who was second to Bradley’s numbers, totaling 33 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick.
