Dylan Burdeaux will officially pass the torch Thursday.
The former Southern Miss star slugger, who also ably served as host of “Burdeaux Knows” last season, recently held auditions to identify the Golden Eagle who will take over hosting duties this year.
Burdeaux, now a member of the Detroit Tigers’ organization, conducted exhaustive in-person interviews and pored over many minutes of video submissions.
Following the extensive search, Burdeaux identified his top choice which will be revealed at 9 a.m. Thursday on hattiesburgamerican.com.
