Five weeks’ worth of spring training, and the annual Black and Gold spring game at Southern Miss produced mixed results.
Behind a touchdown run from T’Rod Daniels and a touchdown grab by Quez Watkins, the Gold team came away with a 20-15 victory Saturday at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
Jay Hopson said the team got the most important things accomplished.
"I felt we got most of everything in that we wanted to get in, schematically, and that's a plus,” he said.
