The 2017 season will always be remembered as one of the greatest in Southern Miss baseball history. Perhaps the very best. Something it will never do, though, is escape the inevitable “coulda, woulda, shoulda” stigma that accompanies any year where great expectations are dashed by crushing disappointment in short order.
