What we learned in Southern Miss' win over Blue Mountain

Doc Sadler said they would be small.

And small they are. But Southern Miss, which has lacked a true big man for quite some time, seems to be learning how to play — and win — that way. The Golden Eagles glided past Blue Mountain (an NAIA program) 90-46 Monday at Reed Green Coliseum.

Here are three things that stood out.

No size, no problem

The lack of anyone listed taller than 6-foot-11 (of which there is only one, Tim Rowe) didn’t do Southern Miss any favors in last week’s loss at Michigan.
